West Indies 25th Anniversary Literary Competition. In her capacities as a writer of different genres and former educator, she helped to set the standard in Bahamian arts. She was part of the Bahama Drama Circle and helped stage summer theatre productions at the auditorium of the Bahamas Teachers Training College. She died on May 17th , at the age of 67, and was survived by her husband James Rolle, an artist who illustrated some of her works; her son Arien, his wife Tamara and grand child Ardyn.
